All bookkeepers at Ohana Bookkeeping are professional bookkeepers. They are either licensed Certified Public Bookkeepers (CPBs) by the National Association of Certified Public Bookkeepers (NACPB), Enrolled Agents (EAs) by the US Department of Treasury, or are CPBs in training. To become licensed, each bookkeeper must have a degree in Accounting or Finance, have at least 2,000 hours of bookkeeping experience, and pass four rigorous exams. All Ohana bookkeepers are experienced, well trained, and love working with small businesses.
The following is a list of, bookkeeping services provided:
- Enter bank transactions (checkings, savings, PayPal, etc.)
- Enter credit card transactions
- Reconcile bank accounts and credit cards
- Enter and pay bills
- Create invoices and track accounts receivable
- Fixed assets management
- Prepayments management
- Loans management
- Generate and produce financial statements
- Work directly with the client’s CPA for tax purposes (with permission from Client)
- All documents will be stored and shared with the client on a web-based secure portal called SmartVault
- Back up company file data
We can provide as much or as little help as the client desires depending upon their needs. We can enter every transaction that occurs, or we can review the work entered by an employee at the end of each month or quarter.
Depending on the client’s needs and wants, the bookkeeper can come to the client’s office and perform the work on the client’s equipment, the bookkeeper can supply her/his own laptop while working at the client’s location, or the bookkeeper can work from his/her own office if the client prefers.
Ohana Bookkeeping has its own secured QuickBooks hosting cloud on the web. That means, for any QuickBooks company file the client wishes for us to host (keep), we store all company files on a secure cloud. This cloud can be accessed by bookkeepers and clients alike. Each user will have his/her own user name, but the client and bookkeeper can access the same file at the same time from any computer. Therefore, files don’t need to be passed back and forth anymore. It’s a great and simplistic way of having updated financial information at your fingertips at all times.
